What is it?

Procapil is a proprietary hair-care complex, commonly described in supplier literature as a combination of biochanin A (a plant-derived isoflavone), apigenin and oleanolic acid, positioned as supporting scalp micro-circulation and countering some of the biological drivers of hair thinning.

What does it actually do?

Some evidence exists — but only when combined with another treatment. According to PubMed, a comparative clinical trial (Khoso H, Fahim M. “Comparison of platelet rich therapy alone with platelet rich therapy along with daily topical 5% Procapil application for the treatment of androgenetic alopecia.” Journal of Ayub Medical College, Abbottabad, 2024) found that adding daily topical 5% Procapil to platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy produced better dermatologist-rated and patient-satisfaction outcomes than PRP alone, over a 6-month period in 160 patients with androgenetic alopecia.
